Truckee Meadows Trails Challenge
The Trails Challenge is a goal-oriented, self-guided program exploring trails throughout Truckee Meadows. Choose your challenge level and begin to receive the physical and mental health benefits of the great outdoors. Get out and explore your parks!
How it Works
Choose from one of four challenge levels ranging in difficulty from five basic trails to 50 miles of trails. You have one year from the date of registration to complete your challenge (WCSD employees have until Dec 31st). Monthly guided saunters for Trails Challenge participants focus on the cultural and natural history of our parks.
Trails Challenge Membership Benefits
All trails challenge participants receive one-year membership in TMPF with their registration. Learn more about TMPF member benefits here. You will also receive access to a trails challenge members page with your challenge guidebook, trail information, and more. Complete the challenge and earn your Trails Challenge commemorative t-shirt and certificate!

What participants are saying
"Our group has been doing so many hikes we are up to 59.7 miles! When we first signed up we thought we would be Explorer's, but now we are Extreme! This has been great fun!!"
I've enjoyed seeing new parks and exploring places that I might not have visited otherwise.
