Crystal Peak Nature Trail & Fisherman's TrailVerdi lies in a tradition zone between the high desert and the mixed conifer forest of the Sierras. Add in the riparian corridor of the Truckee River as well as a rich history and this is sure to be an interesting two mile saunter. The first 30 registered attendees receive a $10 Scheels gift card!
From Reno, take I-80 W to Exit 2 and hang a right off the exit. Head back east on 3rd St (Interstate 80 Business) and cross the Truckee River. Take the first right onto Crystal Peak Road (poorly marked) and right after you pass the overflow parking on your right, stay straight on the little road and enter the park. Parking is at the bottom of the hill. See you there!
