Student Stewards Program:
Field Trips to Rosewood
Inspiring the next generation of enthusiastic scientists and environmental caretakers at our very own Nature Study Area!
Our inquiry-driven field trips are aligned with NGSS & Common Core and designed to support various grade levels.Field trips at Rosewood are open to schools of all kinds, with the aim of using exploration of the wetland habitat to encourage stewardship of the outdoors and help harness the power of nature-oriented science education!
What make rosewood special?
Formerly a decommissioned golf course, Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation took over restoration efforts to restore the area back to its native wetland habitat in 2021.
