Who?

The Student Stewards Summer Camp is for students age 8-13 in Washoe County.

Need-based scholarships will be available for the 2019 year.

We also have a discount for our members! If you are a member please call Devin at 775-360-6068 for a special registration form.

Why?

Camp is a great thing for the development of students—emotionally, physically, and socially. STEM and STEAM education is also beneficial for the scholarly development of students.

According to Peter Scales and the American Camp Association, "Camp is one of the few institutions where young people can experience and satisfy their need for physical activity, creative expression and true participation in a community environment. Most schools don't satisfy all these needs."

There is a projected 14% increase in STEM-related jobs, and only 16% of high schoolers are proficient in STEM subjects. With the introduction of the arts and STEAM curriculum at the Student Stewards Summer Camp, students will be better prepared for high school and beyond!
