Summertime BioBlitz in Idlewild Park

Help us take a mid-summer snapshot of the biodiversity found in Idlewild Park! Experts specializing in insects, birds, plants, mammals, and reptiles will be exploring the park with a goal of identifying as many species as possible, and they need your help. Researchers will lead groups of community volunteers (you!) through Idlewild Park to help collect data and gain a better understanding of biodiversity in Reno. In addition to the bioblitz, the event is part of Artown and will have plenty of engaging nature-based art projects that encourage learning about the natural world.

The bioblitz is FREE and open to ALL ages, so take advantage of this opportunity to get outside and enjoy and one of our premiere Reno parks.

Please contact Donald at (775) 453-0427 or donald@tmparksfoundation.org with any questions, concerns, or comments.

Directions: From downtown Reno, take Arlington Ave. south and turn right (west) on 1st Ave. After 700 feet turn left onto Riverside Dr, and follow this road until it crosses the river. Make your first right on Idlewild Dr, and the park will be on your right. Turn right on Cowan Dr, and meet us at our office. 50 Cowan Dr. Reno, NV 89509
