Virginia Lake Dog Park Restoration Project

With the assistance of the community we were able provide a better experience for the many users that frequent this essential neighborhood park.

The funds raised for this project helped provide:

  • A permanent 16' x 16' shade structure in the small dog area

  • A replacement shade sail in the large dog area

  • LED Photovoltaic security lights

  • Three benches in the small dog area

  • Two benches in the large dog area

  • A water fountain

  • Improved landscaping

  • Dog agility features

  • Improved drainage

  • An ADA accessible sidewalk

  • New ground cover

The Reno City Council matched funds raised in this effort from the Residential Construction Tax fund. This fund is dedicated to building new infrastructure in parks and can be used for no other purpose. On behalf of all of the park users, we thank the City and our contributors for working together to make this project a reality.

While the Project is complete, donations are still greatly appreciated. Donations help continue the maintenance of the Virginia Lake Dog Park with purchases of items such as rakes and leaf blowers.
