Service Positions with Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation

The Naturalist Educator will primarily assist with the Student Stewards Program by engaging students in citizen science during the Student Stewards Summer Camp. More information can be found here.
The Student Stewards Program (SSP) Outreach Coordinator VISTA will focus on community outreach and marketing of the health benefits associated with the Parks Foundation’s youth educational programs and events including the Student Stewards Program and Junior Naturalist Program (JNats). Service Positions with our Partners
The Community Education Coordinator VISTA serves primarily to build and enhance new community health-based education programs in Carson City parks and open spaces placing special emphasis on underserved groups. More information can be found here.
The Recreation Curriculum Coordinator VISTA serves primarily to develop healthy living, educational, and recreation components to the Youth Programs for the City of Reno, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department in local elementary schools, parks, and community centers. Through service duties, members will contribute to and support the growth and production of produce to be donated to local food banks. Additionally, their service working alongside students and volunteers will support the spread of information of sustainable agriculture and nutrition education. More information can be found here.
