The Truckee Meadows Trails Challenge is a goal-oriented, self-guided program for exploring trails throughout Truckee Meadows. Choose your challenge level and begin to receive the physical and mental health benefits of the great outdoors. Get out and explore your parks!
"The guided hike was fabulous, we're so blessed to live in a place with so many great parks and trails!"
How it Works
1. SELECT YOUR CHALLENGE LEVEL
Choose from one of five challenge levels ranging in difficulty from hiking five miles to hiking 100 miles on local trails. Keep in mind, you have one year from the date of registration to complete your challenge (WCSD employees have until Dec 31st of the year they start).
2. SELECT YOUR TRAILS
After you register, you will receive an email with the TMTC Guidebook and Trail booklet. They contain a complete list of possible challenge trails in the Truckee Meadows. Decide which trails are right for your challenge level.
3. GET OUT AND EXPLORE!
4. LOG YOUR TRAILS UPON COMPLETION
When you complete a trail that is part of the challenge, record it in your trail log.
5. RETURN YOUR COMPLETED TRAIL LOG
Once you have completed and recorded all the trails necessary for your challenge level, submit your Trail Log and Feedback Form. We will then deliver your "I Survived the Truckee Meadows Trails Challenge" t-shirt!
