Historical Rephotography Archive

Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is working with our partners and volunteers to provide a publicly accessible rephotrography survey that documents change in our parks.

A historical image is studied and replicated in a present-day photograph that captures the same place or subject matter from the same vantage point. The passage of time is readily visible in this collections of photographs, which provide an elegant means of telling the story of each place.

If you have old photos of yourself, your parents or anyone else in Truckee Meadows parks, please share them with us. You keep your original photograph. We'll digitally scan the photo, record your story and help you recreate the photograph.

Your contribution will strengthen our community by helping all citizens better appreciate the place we call home.
