Join us at Rosewood Nature Study Area on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month for free science talks from engaging guest speakers on a wide range of fun and educational topics.

Join us on Wednesday, April 17th at 6 pm, as we learn about promoting climate justice through education, communication, and community engagement with TMPF's own Deanna Miller!

Deanna moved to Reno after graduating from Northern Arizona University with a B.A. in Environmental Sustainability Studies and a minor in Biology. Going into her degree, she believed field work would be her calling. Contributing to foundational knowledge sounded like the best way to make her impact on the climate crisis, however, her passion for education and community engagement led her to think differently about where her skills aligned in the environmental field. She currently works as TMPF’s Lead Naturalist Educator to help promote stewardship among our next generation and plans on continuing on the path of addressing social effects on the environment.

If you don’t know what climate justice is, or if you would like to add to your own perspective on environmental issues, join Deanna as she shares her strategy for generational resilience!
